On the EP Come Through Mother singer Moon Newbill holds the reins of a compelling sound that is steadfast and fearless in its alt-soul/art-pop leanings while also managing to sound poignant and even a little folksy atop charging synthesizers and guitars. A brief but nonetheless powerful set, each of the four tracks making up Come Through Mother amaze in their genre-defying ways.
