Punch – K.I.N.G. (feat. Asia Divine)/Everything Is Vanity [Single]

New music from Top Dawg Entertainment‘s (TDE) prez Punch who muses deeply about a wide range of subjects – including wisdom, freedom, change, institutional racism, power, and more – on a pair of singles called “K.I.N.G.” and “Everything Is Vanity”.After you give the track a few repeat plays, be sure to favorite both of the tracks on Audiomack (as I can’t seem to find them anywhere else). [On “K.I.N.G.”] This is a record I recorded for my album. I found the sample randomly listening to a playlist on Tidal. I sent it to me guy HB and he chopped and flipped it and added his seasoning to it. I wrote the verses and then sent it to Asia and she did the chorus in less than 24 hours. This is a small glimpse of what my album sounds like.

[On “Everything Is Vanity” ] “To finish a work? To finish a picture? What nonsense! To finish it means to be through with it, to kill it, to rid it of its soul, to give it its final blow the coup de grace for the painter as well as for the picture.” – Pablo Picasso. This is more than likely the last song I’ll put out until its time to put the album out. its not really a song just more so food for thought. it is incomplete hence the Picasso quote . the irony is vanity is incomplete.
