XV, Freddy High, & Sez Batters – First Draft [EP]

Rappers XV, Freddy High, and Sez Batters walk away with the with the win on their First Draft album – a buzzing production that find the trio assuredly staking their claim as makers of heavy-hitting yet infectiously catchy hip-hop heaters. There’s never really a moment where the team isn’t serving up something dope that’ll not only appeal to a generation of fresh-to-death 20-somethings but also resonate with my fellow 401K-hawking 40 year olds. Standout cuts on First Draft include the chest-out-proud album opener “Revenge of the Nerds V“ (my personal favorite); a bouncy and vibrant club anthem called “The Wave“; and a darkly tinted (but no less lively) burner called  “The Death“. Dope work for the guys and gals that are looking to add a few new jams to their Big K.R.I.T/Fashawn/Dreamville loaded playlists.
