It makes you feel as if COLL – a UK-by-way-of-Zimbabwe hip-hop artist – understands just how commanding he is on the mic and how underrated he is as he lets off steely, “go for broke” bars on the new track “L8 Nights“. A hungry “go for broke” atmosphere hangs heavy over COLL’s verses…but in a good way. There is a genuine hunger in his voice that credibly sells the message of the self-made, money makin’ street dude at the center of the track. “I wrote, produced and engineered the song at my house at the start of the most recent lockdown and just wanted to release something upbeat and experiment with production. This will be the first single from my next mixtape project, Blue Magic 3 which will be out this summer and it features artists in Norwich and around  the UK.” With so many U.K. rap/grime acts making headlines from land that COLL now calls home, I have no doubt that he will continue making bigger and bigger waves in the same pool of brilliance that boasts such headliners as Stormzy and J Hus.
