Nametag Alexander – Say What? (feat. Blaksmith)/Karate Meal [Singles]

New music from Michigan-based rhymesmith Nametag Alexander via a pair of singles called Say What?” and “Karate Meal. Both singles feature production from rapper/beatmaker Illingsworth and offer up a more skeletal sound for Nametag to work with – similar to the lo-fi loops of the “Madlib Medicine Show” series.

You can show your support by streaming the singles on Nametag’s Bandcamp page (HERE) as well as by checking out more from the young Motor City lion when you connect with him online via the links listed.

About the artist...
Nametag got involved in Detroit’s Hip Hop history early, and in a major way. His first placement was on two out of three “Dirty District compilations from Slum Village and former production crew, B.R. Gunna. From there, he continued to land appearances on international stamps such as Black Milk’s “Sound Of The City”, and “Popular Demand” just to name a couple. However, while contributing to the projects of others, Tag continued to build his own footing with great deal of his own crafted mixtapes, EPs, and full length albums. He has earned the respect of indie rap heavyweights, and has managed to have music featured in and on the ESPN network, Detroit Metro Times, XXL Magazine and more.
