Sly5thAve – C-Side Remixes (feat. Denitia) [Single]

The trio of tunes making up this “C-Sides Remixes” EP deliver an excellent balance of futuristic funk and trippy-soul grooves. Producer/arranger Sly5thAve finds an excellent muse in Denitia – who sounds really at ease and taken away by the music surrounding her. The singer’s stargazing (and almost spaced out) vocals are all buttery goodness when laid on top of Sly‘s bubbly, bouncing electronica. Like Georgia Anne Muldrow in less animated “fonk” modes, this is mood soothing music with warm layering, catchy hooks, and softly lilting vocals. Producer/arranger Hemai provides an uprocking remix on “C-Side (Hemai Remix)” that still keeps the cool out atmospheres in place while Ash Walker goes for a starker marching house rhythm on “With You (Ash Walker Remix)”
