Reeny Smith‘s brand new single “Goodbye” is a quietly spacey and introspective number that addresses an emotional breakup that she has finally decided to walk away from. Throughout the song, Reeny repeats the phrase “…goodbye baby” like a mantra that she uses to help her get through such a life-changing decision. Strangely enough, the song has something of an uplifting feel to it – with its use of a funk-filtered talk box and reverberating guitar. Adding to all of this is Reeny‘s voice, which is sweetly reserved and nothing short of elegant in its earnestness.
