CARRTOONS – Read My Lips (feat. Floyd Fuji) [Single]

There’s nothing more musically aesthetically pleasing than that old-school R&B sound. The best part is when it gives a hint of that back in the day Motown sound too. “Read My Lips” is a great rendition of that. Artist/producer CARRTOONS is an absolutely wonderful instrumentalist and it SHOWS! This collaboration with Floyd Fuji (another artist I’ve fallen in love with) gave it such depth that I literally sank into the track. This was like a perfect marriage with the music, the piano, and the passionate vocals. I got so enthralled by the track that I ended up downloading the entire Homegrown album. You’ll be hearing a lot more of that old-school r&b soul with that Motown touch. CARRTOONS knows their stuff!! He definitely knows what the people have been missing and not only is the music soulfully good, it’s also catchy and alluring. You won’t get bored listening to this track or any other track on his album. CARRTOONS is definitely worth listening to, if you haven’t already done so, because there’s a lot more where that came from.
