Jess Baldwin – The InBetween [Single]

Jess Baldwin‘s soulful track, “The InBetween” is a beautiful mellow song. It all flows together well throughout the melody. This may be a bit of a cliche but I can’t help it to mention that her voice is soft like velvet. Actually, it was more like a feather slowly gliding down from the air to the ground. Gravity was doing its job here in this song because it will ground you. I was completely relaxed and ready to fall asleep BUT in a good way. I’d consider it an enjoyable lullaby for adults. However, that’s not all I’d like to say about its overall gentleness. This is what I’d like to call a “coming of new age” kind of track. We also know that less is more at times and this was it! Why? Her lyrics were sweet and straight to the point! I can feel the “metamorphosis” of her experience on this track. Let’s just say I know what it’s like to be “in-between” myself and this couldn’t have been described any better. Baldwin‘s goal was met on this track and the best part was that it was worth the listen. It kept you engaged. For music like this, that’s not always an easy feat! Good job to this indie/soulful artist for meeting the mark.
