New music from Lewis Bradley by way of the single “Movie Smoothies” – an upbeat and colorful slice of yacht-rock-styled funk that features a strong melody, an uplifting sense of positivity, and dope Moog work. It’s nearly impossible to believe that this is a bittersweet lament from a man who misses his lady, but the fact remains that it is. Admittedly, the lyrics have an aching sense of longing to them. But the overall aura of this song is sunlit and brilliant.
“This is a song I’ve sat on for a while. I got a new Fender Strat for my 21st birthday and the main guitar riff in this song is the first thing that came to my head when I picked it up. In May 2020 during the first lockdown myself and my two mates Sam and Tom decided to write some music together and we quickly got a demo of Movie Smoothies recorded. I wrote some quick lyrics about missing my girlfriend who I didn’t end up seeing for 12 weeks (thanks covid). The song was left on my hard drive for ages until one day I decided to actually turn it into a fully produced song.
Anyway that’s enough rambling, I hope everyone likes it, I’ll shut up now!” – Lewis Bradley

About the artist...
Hey there! This bit is usually full of pretentious rubbish about how “deeply talented” I am but I just kinda wanna skip that and say thank you for checking out my stuff! If you like what you’ve heard so far I promise more is on the way so give me a follow and make sure you don’t miss any of it! [Some stuff about me] I play lots of instruments and I like lots of music. Growing up listening to Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, Bowie and The Beatles gave me a pretty good head start. Then into my teen years jazz became a huge influence for me and still is to this day.
