On “Caught Up“, singer Terri Green uses her beautifully bluesy voice to present the story of a woman who’s trying to walk the tightrope between falling head-over-heels in love and keeping her guard up. Actually, that’s not true, as judging from the sounds of it, she has fallen deeply and completely in love but is well aware of how vulnerable that leaves her. A new romance comes with a rush of joy and excitement, and Terri absolutely conveys those feelings in her lyrics and delivery. True, our leading lady is cautiously optimistic about her new sweet thing. But it’s that optimism that shines brightly on “Caught Up”. This track has an old-school, throwback soul feel to it that is right up my alley. I love this singer and I love LOVE this song.
