M-Dot – Done [Single]

This track is a Hip Hop CLASSIC in the making! We all know I’m a big fan of old-school hip-hop music. When I hear new artists being true to traditional hip hop sound, nostalgia kicks in HEAVY! “Done” by Boston rap artist, M-Dot is a real “in your face”, punchline-filled track. Wordplay is on point and the storytelling aspect was vivid. Not one element overpowered the other in this track either. It was simple and straight to the point and this made the song enjoyable.

I loved the sample from the legendary emcee, The Notorious B.I.G.! It was a very nice touch and only amplified the vibe of the song. It really has a way of bringing you back to the 90s for a bit. However, M-Dot was able to stay true to his own sound and was able to express his talent here. I would consider this man underrated. This would be an artist to look out for.
