JID – Dance Now (feat. Kenny Mason) [Single]

New music from JID with the release of the clubby and darkly thumping rap single “Dance Now” – as taken from his upcoming album The Forever Story. The song’s heavy thumping bass, subtle yet hypnotic melody, and JID‘s commanding vocals are all elements that come together to make this a mid-tempo banger that will be in your head for days. The song seems to be about finding your own way while living in a world filled with righteousness and sin. The track’s video is an eerie and exaggerated depiction of humanity where JID seems to exist as a man outside of time who walks through a chaotic world without being affected by it. The beat is somewhat laid-back but still comes in hard and JID‘s flow snaps throughout. This is definitely one of JID‘s best tracks and it will be interesting to see how this song fits into his larger body of work.
