New music from a hip-hop artist named Reuben Vincent with the release of the single “Geechie Suede” – a track that has the North Carolina emcee rapping about his life and times with some old-school funk sounds bubbling in the background. It has the feel and swagger of a contemporary southern-funk gem that’s been filtered through a 1970’s blaxploitation flick. The song is the latest single off of Vincent’s upcoming album, Love Is War, which is scheduled for release this fall on Jamla Records and the Roc Nation Records camp.

About the artist...
Reuben Vincent is an American Hip Hop artist from Charlotte, NC. Following the release of his debut mixtape IDOL.escent under the moniker Esau when he was just 13 years old, Reuben gained recognition from Grammy award-winning producer 9th Wonder. This led him to be featured on Murs & 9th Wonder’s track “The Shutters” off their Brighter Daze mixtape, released in December 2015.
In 2016, Reuben signed to 9th Wonder’s Jamla Records label. His debut album, Myers Park, was released on October 27, 2017 featuring the lead single “BB Guns.”
