Yuna – Y4 [EP]

Y4, the latest release from singer-songwriter Yuna, is a 3-track EP that’s filled with sweet-sounding grooves and some pretty amazing vocals from the young artist. The EP starts off with “Make Believe” which is a heavyhearted letter to an unfaithful lover that’s wrapped up inside of a fun and upbeat dancefloor bop. It’s a playful, end-of-the-summer gem even though it seems like a heartbreaker based on the lyrics alone. The second track is called “Fool 4 U” and it’s a slower jam that features some beautiful lamenting vocals from the young beauty. Although the song deals with unrequited love, there is a sweetness that comes through in her delivery keeps any sad feelings at bay. The final track on the EP is “Relax Your Mind,” and it’s a flowing ballad that finds Yuna setting a very chill and easygoing mood so that we can all just take a moment to breathe and relax. Her vocals are angelic and the production is lush and sweet, making this a perfect way to end a wonderful EP.
