Phabo – Dark Star [EP]

New music from singer Phabo via the EP “Dark Star“ – a slinky and sexy collection of songs that float along in a very atmospheric kind of way as they glint and gleam in the listener’s ears. The EP has a dimly lit, late-night feel to it, and the songs are just as good at creating a near palpable mood as they are at telling stories. Phabo‘s voice has a satiny quality that makes it easy for listeners to get wrapped up in his songs and feel cozy or content. Standout tracks include “Something Different” and “Lemon Pepper Hot.” The former is a sexy ballad that has a bit of melancholy to it as it details a young woman’s first few days in L.A., while the latter is relatively more upbeat and optimistic.
