Mahzi‘s newly dropped album For The Streets is a mix of short and sweet freestyle-type songs that highlight her sultry-meets-trap style of rap music in every track. The album features a nice mix of tracks, with the opening cut “Lil Boy” setting the tone with an old-school-funk-fueled beat that easily complements Mahzi‘s slick flow and confident delivery. “Rich Hoe” is a standout track, that has Mahzi showing off her bravado flow over an upbeat 808-drum-driven beat. “Pape Talk” sees the ambitious Detroit lioness blending her singing and rapping skills to deliver a catchy track about being a sexy boss-type, staying loyal to those who have been there for her, and stacking money over everything.

“Do Me Wrong” confronts liars head-on with an all-out attack that doesn’t pull punches but still keeps things relatively laid back and in line with her signature sexy style while “Pu$$y” calls out those who talk big in their raps but don’t back it up. Towards the end of the set, Mahzi serves up “Reaper” and “Nudes“ – with the former encouraging listeners to stay on top of their game at all times while the latter finds Mahzi experimenting with an autotune-laced, sing-songy style of rapping. Finally, “X Hoes” is a pulsating club track that closes the project on a strong note and would surely be a stripper joint fave. Overall, For The Streets is a solid offering that showcases Mahzi‘s potential and versatility as an artist, and is sure to impress trap fans from the avenues of Detroit to the boulevards of Las Vegas and beyond.
