Gloss Up – Ride Home (feat. Jacquees) [Single]

I vibed with Gloss Up’s voice and style on “Ride Home,” but Jacquees isn’t my cup of tea. His addition just didn’t do it for me. The production, though, is stellar–clean, sharp, and totally on point. Produced by Kuttabeatz, Nuki, and Sentro, the track really stands out. I’m that girl who’s out with friends, wishing I was back home with Zaddy. A few drinks in, and I’m dialing him up to come scoop me. Gloss Up’s rap hit home for me, making it super relatable. This track’s energy and mood are undeniable and home in on that feeling of longing to be snuggled up with your guy back at the crib. Taken from the album Not Ya Girl: Act 1, which dropped at the beginning of this month, Gloss Up’s storytelling is attention-grabbing, making me want to hear more of her unique voice and style. I’m definitely keeping an ear out for more of her work…just not with Jacquees.
