Ari B from Detroit linked up with Dria Scott to deliver “See Me,” a midtempo trap-soul joint that’s already heating up the scene. From the jump, Ari pulls no punches, diving headfirst into the chaos of love, lust, no-strings situationships, and all points in-between. Ari’s voice flows steadily, delivering with a sugared sting when it counts. “Jaded by decisions that you already made up / Already gave up / Already laid up with somebody else“—Ari’s dropping bars with that low-key intensity like she’s been through it and ain’t got time for the nonsense. And when Dria steps in with the hook, the vibe shifts. It’s like she flips the switch, lights off, mood set, reminding dude that, “Boy, this is lust. It ain’t love when it’s us.”
Jupyter handled the production, and he cooked up something mean for this pair. You got a throwback soul sample upfront, looping like it’s fresh off a dusty 45, then in come some surging and receding trap drums kicking things into gear. It’s that throwback-meets-now feel that keeps the energy in the red. Ari’s voice stays cool but layered with tension, like she’s holding back just enough to keep from screaming. And when Dria steps in with the hook, the vibe shifts. It’s like she flips the switch, lights off, mood set, reminding dude that, “Boy, this is lust/ It ain’t love when it’s us.”
“See Me” feels like it was made for the late-night drive to clear your head or a club cut where the drinks and laughs are flowing and everyone’s in too good of a mood to let anything mess up the rhythm.
