Making great use of some crackling foreign-rock-esque samples from generations ago, the UK based sound provider programs a pair of boom-bap instrumentals that play like new entries in Madlib’s “Beat Konducta” series.  “Honey” weaves in and out of focus with fever-dream guitar loops and melancholic singing that may have been lifted from some little known European flick from the 70’s. It’s partner-in-crime, the stutter-stepping “Heat!”, shows off its hip-hop influences in its swinging drum-break and stoned-out vocals, while still keeping one foot firmly planted in the dusty SP-404-steeped beat culture spearhead by minds like Kan Kick, Jaylib, and MF DOOM.
