“U R Me” is a sweet, sultry love song from London singer Shamim which gets an enthralling small-screen adaptation from director Prince Mensah. The track’s lyrics are romantic and adoring and stir up those wonderful feelings that come from having a crush or starting a new relationship. This is a “honeymoon phase” kind of R&B song where our couple has just fallen in love and there’s this newness to it that you want to relate to completely. Shamim’s voice has an innocence and freshness to it that is easy to fall in love with. The music’s moody feel – arranged by producer Jaydot – quietly builds, then drops into a slow-grinding rhythm that drifts in and out of focus throughout. “[U R Me] is inspired by the feeling of growing in love with someone.
