Moonchild – Love I Need (feat. Rapsody) [Single]

Moonchild‘s new tune “Love I Need” is an incredibly cool track that starts off on a light and airy note before bursting out of the gate with a funky rhythm section, airy vocals, and a heavy shot of elation in its step. This head-bobbing electro-soul jam features lead singer Amber Navran studying just much her relationship has changed for the better now that her lover is giving her the attention that she wants and deserves. Her breathy vocals are ethereal and float along in stark contrast to the Soulaquarian-ish arrangement that bandmates Andris Mattson and Max Bryk lay down so well. And just as you find yourself sinking so deep into Amber‘s airy falsetto that you nearly let your mind float off into space, the song adds a funky bijou in the form of an airtight rap verse from Rapsody. “Love I Need” is such a cool listen that definitely delivers some sweetly breezy parts while also serving up an infectious groove.

This latest release follows up the previously released singles “Too Good“, “You Got One“, and “Tell Him” – all of which will appear on the band’s upcoming Starfruit album.
