New sounds from singer Georgia Blankson via the single “Damn Right” – a  song where the singer describes a toxic relationship where one partner is too selfish to let the other go so that they can grow into a better person. Written in the third person, Georgia takes on an “outsider-looking-in” point of view for the song as she gently pleads with the unfaithful lover to do what needs to be done to make things right. Blankson‘s delivery is sweet yet melancholic and the song’s production offers up a light and sweeping bit of electro-soul.

About the artist...
Born in the Cosmopolitan City of Brighton, Georgia Blankson, 19, firstly attended Musical Theatre school for 5 years before moving on to study vocals/songwriting at college. With her passion for music firmly established, Georgia’s early influences ranged from the vast catalogue of Tamla Motown with music icons such as Michael Jackson firmly on repeat to an eclectic mix of R&B greats such as Kelis, Bryson Tiller, Leanne la Havas, the heavenly tones of Lalah Hathaway and Mary J. Blige to name a few.

Fast forward to Georgia’s Debut single “Listen” which captures her unique range, timeless vocal and gives us clues of what’s to come on her musical journey. Georgia’s own take and blend of R&B, Neo Soul combined with contemporary Jazz and a dusting of drama make her one to watch in 2021, her breakthrough year.
