It’s safe to say that Hip Hop isn’t dead just yet. For the fight of its life, hip-hop still has people going to war just for a comeback. Up and coming hip-hop artist, Phil.Me is definitely a true soldier in this fight. His latest work, “Gospel“, definitely shows his talent, including the use of realistic and witty wordplay. His punchlines pack more than just a punch as they also display his message. If you’re looking for that 90s hip hop nostalgia of Nas, Big L, and countless others, this would be a great man to listen to. Even if you don’t relate to the actual song, you can almost get a peek into his mind, with the mild storytelling. I instantly fell in love with the song and the vocals in the background were definitely a “chef’s kiss” to the verbal imagery of this track. It’s a great balance of raw, unfiltered truth with a great music selection.
