B.Bravo – Vizionz [LP]

B.Bravo‘s new release Vizionz is a beautiful example of synth-funk and electro-soul music bringing together many different styles and influences into one cohesive album. It’s the sort of music you can groove to, but also use for moments of self-reflection and introspection. His music feels cinematic and timeless, but also immediate and current; his sound evokes the past, but it feels wholly fresh and new. With each new listen, the beautiful, stylistic instrumentation of Vizionz reveals deeper layers. There’s an effortless touch at work here that rewards repeated listening. The long and the short of it is this: if you’re looking for a funky, feel-good album with a variety of different sounds, then you absolutely need to check out the new B.Bravo album. Standout cuts include a G-funk gem called “Midnight Rider“, a soothing trek down a Cali shoreline called “Fly Bye“, “Back Times Two“, and a laid-back album closer called “Believe“.

This is an album that I will be telling all of my friends about. It is a set that I am hard-pressed to find anything to complain about beyond a few trivial nitpicks or annoyances. It may even be the best album of the year and certainly in the top 10.
