Laolu – All In Me [EP]

New music from South East London songstress Laolu with the release of the EP All In Me – a record that’s filled with revelatory lyricism, vaporous synthesizers, distantly echoing rhythms, and crystalline dream-pop melodies. Standout cuts include a ghostly and beautiful struggle against the life-draining effects of depression called “All In Me”; the  Benjamin AD assisted “20’s” – which is a slow-burning study of being twenty-something and serious-minded at a time when the world is quick to dismiss you as a stereotypical millennial (or at least that’s what I got from it); a quick-stepping celebration of finding and enjoying an energy-giving love affair called “So Right”;  and a late-night lament that’s sharpened nicely by a 90’s R&B energy called “How To Feel” (my personal favorite). You can show your support by purchasing the EP from your favorite spot below as well as check out more from Laolu – like this recent feature with the Gal-Dem magazine – by visiting the links listed.
