New music from hip-hop and R&B artist TOBi via the single “Come As You Are“ – which features guest vocalist Baby Rose and production from Cvre, Harper Gordon, Rarely, and Wah Wah James. The Nigerian-born/Ontario-raised creative delivers a really chilled, summertime-groove on this one. As I listened to the young man celebrate the beauty of being in a relationship with someone who enjoys the simple things in life, TOBi’s words sparked that same feeling that I felt when I first discovered Outkast and the Dungeon Family. Earnest and appreciation fill TOBi’s vocals and he holds down this really wavy, sing-songy flow throughout the track. This is the sort of song that is meant for crowd interaction with its conversational verses, its crazy catchy chorus, and the jazz-funk feel of the beat.
