Tilda Allie – Rocket Me High [Single]

I’m just going to start this off by saying this artist’s voice is INCREDIBLE! 

“Rocket Me High,” an amazing number performed by a singer named Tilda Allie, comes to us all the way from Sweden and is perhaps the epitome of this musician’s abilities. Not only does this woman have range but her voice has immense power. The song’s instrumentation is very powerful on its own, but there is a point in the song where Tilda‘s voice completely trails off and you can really FEEL this vibration. Her voice completely overwhelms the music in that part of the song but it doesn’t take away from it at all. It’s like Allie‘s voice drowns out the arrangement but still allows the music to remain impactful.

I’m also praising this track for Allie‘s raw and honest lyrics. You can really understand and appreciate the parts of the artist’s mind that are shared with the audience. I love when artists share pieces of themselves in their music. Altogether, this gave me hints of Dido and Björk‘s style while still giving off that original neo-soul, alternative jazz/pop essence. Tilda is definitely separating herself from other artists out here today as she is built not to blend in but to stand out.
