Ann Hoku Lyn – Come Home to Your Dinner [Single]

I must say, “Come Home to Your Dinner” was nothing like I expected when I first heard it. There aren’t too many songs with this kind of theme. It was very unique! The soul-funk singer, Ann Hoku Lyn killed this song! I love how she pretty much beckons the listener the same way she beckons whoever she is talking to in the music! Lyn‘s voice and the band featured in this song are both elaborately delicious! The collaboration makes the song very inviting and fun! There is nothing better than that original soul-funk sound and they really executed it well. The song is only a little over 2 minutes long but it was two minutes of pure funky goodness! The best part was understanding that the “dinner” was just an analogy for consciously expressive interaction between the artist and another. My favorite part was the band solo and there’s honestly nothing better than having breaks in the song where you can just appreciate the music. This is an enjoyable track to listen to. I can only imagine what else Lyn has in store for us.
